OUR HISTORY

K. E. Carmel C.M.I. School, Behala was originally established by the CMI fathers at CMI Dharmaniketan, Behala in the year 2009 under the able leadership of Rev. Fr. Joseph Puthenpura CMI and Rev. Fr. Joshy Mayamparambil CMI.

Rev. Fr. Joseph Puthenpura CMI served as the Manager of the School then. On 22nd April 2009, Wednesday, the school was inaugurated under the blissful blessings of Cardinal Mar. George Alengery. Rev. Fr. Varghese Puthiyaveedu CMI was the first principal of the school.

In the beginning the institution served as the feeding school for K.E. Carmel C.M.I. School Amtala and started its stupendous journey with only 24 students in Nursery and LKG. The parents were immensely impressed by the overall guidance of the school towards nurturing their kids in the field of education as well as imparting moral values. With their immense support and enthusiasm, the secondary building was established on 1 st of April, 2014 and was later upgraded till Class X.

At present, the school is being run successfully by 19 qualified as well as dignified teaching faculties imparting quality education to 515 students under the able supervision of Rev. Fr. Dr. Paul Mathew Thamarachery CMI, Secretary of K.E. Carmel Group of Schools in West Bengal and effective direction of Rev. Fr. Sebastian Munduvelil CMI as the Principal.

K. E. Carmel School Behala imparts the highest and the noblest form of education to the students in and around Behala area. It is one of the best schools in Behala that imparts generous thoughts within the students and lead each and every one of them to rise to the epitome of their spirits. The school caters the best education with the most modern techniques and boasts of a class no less in comparison to an elite school of the city.
